Noted Sportscaster to go bald this Christmas?

Veteran sportscaster Noel Zarate, one of the hosts of the show the Sports Insider (9pm M-W-F Solar Sports and 10pm Tu-Th-Sat on Basketball TV) and Sports Insider Radio (Mondays and Wednesdays 8pm at DZRJ 810AM), has agreed to a bet with Megasportsworld (Philippines’ only licensed sportsbook and major sponsor of the Sports Insider) Marketing Manager Jed Marcaida.

The bet is the 100k Facebook Christmas Challenge. It would go down like this, if the show’s official facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/sportsinsider) reaches 100,000 friends by Christmas (December 25, 2010 12AM) he will shave his head bald on Christmas day. Further than that he also made a side bet of Php 1,000 underscoring Noel’s confidence that it may come close to the figure but will ultimately fall short.

His co-host Jinno Rufino is delighted with this bet as he promised to do everything in his power to have Noel’s head cleanly shaved this Christmas.

Let’s see if Noel will keep his hair come December 25.
